MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital is a Level 3 trauma facility with 238 licensed beds of which 17 are located in the Peds Unit. The Peds Unit is currently used for adult Med/Surg patients as well. The Peds Hospitalist will have an average of 3-6 peds patients per shift. Each shift is 24-hours with overnight call taken from home. In addition to the peds patients, the Pediatric Hospitalist will have an average of 5 ED consults, 3 during the day and 2 at night.
