Job Description

Locum- OBGYN- Please review PD for additional details (it is attached)

Looking for one provider who can cover up to 8 call shifts a month, ideally that would include 2 weekends. We are open to a 7 am Thursday – 7 am Monday shift or 7 am Friday through 7 am Tuesday shift for example.

They are 24hr call shifts (not inhouse, they can remain offsite within 15 minutes of the facility.

Here are some high priority weekends we are looking to fill:

June 19-21
June 26-28
July 31 – Aug 2

This position will provide OBGYN after hours clinic call as well as inpatient OB and GYN ED call for the hospital. Our hospital does not offer VBAC’s or planned deliveries <35 weeks. We do not have a NICU. There is only one OBGYN on call for the hospital and they participate in unassigned OB call as well as C-section back up for Family Medicine OB physicians.

FM OB's and FM OB residents can assist in c-sections. The hospital has 4 labor rooms, 4 postpartum rooms, and an OR in the L&D unit.

OBGYN's are not required to be onsite for call, but do need to respond w/in 15 minutes for stat c-section. OR crew/Anesthesia are on-call and have same response time. The entire hospital does about 350 deliveries a year, with our OBGYN group delivering about 50% of those. The other 50% are community FM OB's.

Please note privileging will take close to 90 days for the provider. We do have a May 1 start but that is contingent on the application being completed, approved and privileges issued. If application can not be completed timely this may delay the start date. Please set this expectation with your provider.
